Tips for new Affiliates

Affiliate marketing is one of the quickest, and easiest ways of making money online.
As an affiliate marketer, you don't have to create a product because you will be selling other peoples.

You don't have to carry any stock or pay for storage space, you don't need to accept payments for goods and services and you don't have to create any fantastic sales pages.

In fact, most of the hard work has already been done for you.
As an Affiliate Marketer all you have to do is drive traffic to your chosen affiliate program.

Before you head off on your search for the end of the rainbow here are some tips to prevent you wasting time, money and effort

A common mistake made by many people when they first start is to rush out and sign up for a boat load of Affiliate programs and load a single web page with all of their products ads, banners and links etc for all types of different products without any content on the page.

This is crazy and probably the number one reason people give up Affiliate Marketing. Think about it. Would YOU pay attention to a page stuffed with ads and nothing else?
No me neither. This kind of site will not attract visitors and those that stumble across your site will quickly leave.

Although its easy to get started, don't fall into the trap of signing up for loads of Affiliate programs and try to promote them all in the early stages. All you will do is waste your time and you will not do a good job of promoting any of them. The result will be few or no sales at all.

Its far better to start off with one or two quality products, preferably ones you have used, read or know about, and concentrate your efforts on those. Once you have a decent return then you can think about adding others, one at a time. The important thing is to stay focused and concentrate your efforts in one or two areas at a time.

Some advice for finding a product to promote.

Think about an area that interests YOU. Research a product in that niche which you can promote as an Affiliate. You will find it easier and have far more enthusiasm to promote a product that interests you to start with. Yes it is possible to promote anything but, you will find it far easier to write about a subject you have a passion for.
